Is there a way to group or segment large fleets (e.g., 90+ vehicles)?

Managing large fleets can become cumbersome without proper segmentation. For instance, I have over 90 vehicles that need to be divided by department, location, or vehicle type so I can streamline reporting, user permissions, and day-to-day monitoring.

Is there a built-in feature for creating these groups within the platform?

Absolutely! Our software allows you to segregate and group vehicles based on your specific use cases.

For example, you can create a “Delivery” group for delivery trucks or an “Ambulance” group for medical services. This way, each group can be managed and reported on separately.

To get started:

1.Go to the vehicle list.

2.Create a new group, giving it a descriptive name (e.g., “Delivery Fleet,” “Ambulance Fleet,” etc.).

3.Add vehicles to that group by selecting them from your existing fleet list.

You can create as many groups as you need, and you’ll have the flexibility to organize vehicles by department, location, type of service, or any other criteria that fits your operational workflow.

If you have any questions about how to set this up, feel free to reach out!

That’s super helpful. Does grouping also allow me to set different user permissions for each group?

For example, I only want certain managers to see the “Delivery” group.

Yes, you can manage user-level permissions for each group. When creating or editing a user’s profile, simply select vehicles they can view or control. This way, managers for the Delivery group won’t see vehicles from your other groups, and vice versa.

Let me know if you need any more details on permission settings or best practices for large fleet management.
