How do I configure trackers (frequency, alerts, etc.)?

Trackers often allow custom configuration for data refresh intervals, event triggers, and alerts. Some demo versions of software might have these features locked or hidden. Fleets need to verify that they can fine-tune these settings—especially if they want more frequent updates or specific alerts (e.g., overspeed, geo-fence exit).

That’s a great point! In our software, we have a dedicated page where users can enable or disable notifications based on their needs—like ignition, power cut, towing, overspeed, fuel theft, geo-fencing, and more. We offer a lot of flexibility in configuring alert preferences and data refresh intervals.

Here’s a quick overview:

1.Alerts & Notifications Page
  • Navigate to the Alerts or Notifications page in your dashboard.
  • Toggle on/off events such as overspeed or power cut.
  • Set threshold values (e.g., max speed) and specify when and how you’d like to be notified (e.g., SMS, email, in-app).
2.Tracking Frequency
  • You can setup data sending frequency by the setting up timer command , again it depends on GPS Device.

Great question. A higher reporting frequency generally results in more data consumption. Some subscription plans place limits on total data usage or number of messages per month.
